Bakers in the Boston and Massachusetts North Shore area may be interested in an event on Sunday, October 4th, that EYB founder Jane Kelly is working on (please note the date has changed because of the nor'easter storm due on the original date of September 27th). It's the first Cape Ann Cake Fest. Make a donation to a local food pantry, bring along your cake, then fill a cake box with slices from all the delicious cakes. (It's a lot like Cake Picnic.)

If you want to participate, you will need to register in advance and make a minimum donation. At the event you need to bring a cake (8" or larger), cake server, cake plate or cake stand, a fork (for yourself), an ingredients list, and the desire to eat some cake. A lot of cake. You can find additional information at www.capeanncakefest.com.
This event benefits The Open Door food pantry (80%) and Windhover Center for the Performing Arts (20%). Cake Fest takes place at Windhover Performing Arts Center in Rockport, Massachusetts.
