Enter our US giveaway to win a Modern Comfort Food prize package which consists of a copy of Modern Comfort Food by Ina Garten, a Kuhn Rikon vegetable peeler (Ina's favorite), and a Schmidt Bros. carving set.

Ina is back with nearly one-hundred recipes to provide comfort which is needed this year more than any other. My niece recently made her Skillet-roasted chicken & potatoes and said it was the best thing she has made ever! One of my favorite ways to roast chicken is over a bed of potatoes and/or thick slices of sourdough bread. I need to try Ina's version soon.

There is a reason why this kitchen tool is a favorite of celebrity chefs that include Ina and Giada, and is the subject of 9,400 thousand positive reviewers on Amazon. When I received the peeler, I was skeptical - yes, me - skeptical. This peeler is not shiny and expensive. It is plastic and cheap in cost. Call me skeptical no more. This little-tool-that-could peeled two pounds of carrots in nothing flat. I am ordering a few before the word gets out. It will be the "toilet paper" of this season.

Kuhn Rikon has a special right now which offers free shipping on orders of $30.00. I just stocked up on additional peelers and now I'm obsessing about these rollers (a few might have made it into my cart). I almost forgot to tell you about this box mandoline and grater set which I use in my kitchen all the time!

I love Schmidt Bros. cutlery. You can read more about this company and their knives in my post from earlier this year. Schmidt Bros. would like to give one of our members their carving set pictured above.

The old-world crafted, modern designed carbon carving set, complete with an 8.5” slicer and carving fork from Schmidt Brothers is made from a single piece of the finest 100% German Stainless Steel. It features a polished ultra-sharp blade contrasting against an unpolished scorched steel handle. It’s perfect for all of your carving needs and your aesthetic ones.

Special thanks to the publisher who is offering a copy of Modern Comfort Food by Ina Garten, Kuhn Rikon who is providing one of their highly-rated vegetable peelers, and to Schmidt Bros.
