Years ago I told Peabody she needed to write a cookbook and she pooh-poohed me. I was beyond thrilled to finally learn that a brilliant publisher grabbed her up. This book's desserts will please everyone in the family from the youngest to the oldest - whether they be bakers, wannabe bakers or eager treat consumers.

To celebrate the publication of Holy Sweet, Emile Henry would like to give one of our members a beautiful loaf pan. The Orange-glazed gingerbread babka, Fruity Pebbles crumb cake, Frosted Flakes banana chocolate chip pound cake, and a number of other recipes would work great in this pan. You can also serve any of the individual treats such as the Snoball sandwich cookies in this gorgeous pan - all lined up like little soldiers. I have bananas waiting for me to make the Frosted Flakes pound cake tomorrow.

The fun factor here is off the charts but if a certain ingredient isn't your jam, mix things up a bit. I'm thinking of making a Cap'n Crunch crumb cake using Peabody's recipe - because I have a thing for a man in uniform.
