In her
second cookbook, The Homemade Kitchen, Alana Chernila
exalts the beautiful imperfections of food made at home and extends
the lessons of cooking through both the quotidian and extraordinary
moments of the day. Alana builds upon the concept of her previous
book, The Homemade Pantry, with recipes for
kitchen staples such as chèvre, tofu, kefir, kimchi,
preserved lemons, along with recipes and ideas for using
them.
You can read an excerpt from The Homemade Kitchen, and see Alana's book tour schedule on the World Calendar of Cookbook Events. We are delighted to offer four copies of The Homemade Kitchen to EYB Members in the US only. One of the entry options is to answer the following question in the comments section to this blog post:
Which common pantry items do you prefer making yourself versus buying?
Please note that you must be signed into
the Rafflecopter contest before posting the comment or your entry
won't be counted. Entries from Members outside the US will be
discarded. If you are not already a Member, you can join at no
cost. The contest ends December 9, 2015.
