Prune Gabrielle Hamilton's new cookbook, Prune, is generating plenty of buzz for its deviation from the chef cookbook archetype. A few days ago we reported on the unique style of the cookbook, and we just received a sneak peek inside the cover.

If bought the book for my iPad and you can read it, but you will never find the recipe again to cook it. If you ever want to cook from the book, buy the book. If you cook fast and brash this is not the book for you. There are moments in the book that you need to underline, because you will think, "I need to know that". When you buy the book, buy a pad of stickers or postems because you will need to mark where something is. I am going to see if I can return my book on Kindle and buy it in hardcover.

I think the recipes will interest me the most - I loved Gabrielle's style in Blood Bones and Butter so much and the way she described food in that book made me hopeful that someday she would publish a recipe book.
